Map & Directions

MFI is offering a one-week program for directors and actors who want to enhance their visual storytelling abilities. Directors will shoot, light and edit a two character scene using MFI actors. MFI cinematographers will teach camera placement, movement, shot composition, lighting, and more. This is a deeper dive into shooting projects on your own, with Tony Spiridakis and Shannon Goldman mentoring you all the way. This is a bare bones foundation training course for directors who want to learn more about directing from a cinematographer's point of view, and packing a lot of learning into just one week.

  • Visual Storytellers Week for Actors and Directors with Bob Krakower, Wendy Makkena, Tony Spiridakis, Shannon Goldman, and opening night seminar from Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri.
  • This is a perfect follow-up to our 2-week program, as well as a stand-alone workshop, with small classes and individualized attention. Hard work, nurturing, collaboration, on-set training, and support from world class faculty and staff… that is the MFI experience.
MFI directors live in the Greenport area at a location to be determined (an hour and a half from NYC.) Lodging will be age and gender appropriate with adult supervision and security. ONE WEEK SCHEDULE FOR DIRECTORS & ACTORS
