Hello, My Name is Doris

Producer Daniela Taplin Lundberg Screens “Hello, My Name is Doris” starring Sally Field at Peconic Landing, Thursday, July 13th at 7:30PM

Hello, My Name is Doris is a quirky and delightful comedy starring the incredible Sally Field. With help from her best friend’s (Tyne Daly) granddaughter (Isabella Acres), a smitten woman (Sally Field) concocts schemes to get the attention of a younger co-worker (Max Greenfield) in her office.

A Q and A will follow with Producer Daniela Taplin Lundberg, who is best known for The Kids Are All Right (2010), Beasts of No Nation (2015) and What Maisie Knew (2012).

“Hello, My Name is Doris” will be shown at the Peconic Landing Cultural Arts Center Theater in Greenport, NY, on Thursday, July 13th at 7:30 PM. Along with MFI actors and directors, members of the North Fork Long Island community and the lovely supportive residents, administration and staff of Peconic Landing are all welcome to attend.

Guide to Recognizing Your Saints

Academy Award Nominee Chazz Palminteri and Writer-Director Dito Montiel to Screen “Guide to Recognizing Your Saints” at Peconic Landing, Saturday July 15th at 7:30

Academy Award Nominatee Chazz Palminteri along with award winning writer-director Dito Montiel will screen Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, a coming-of-age drama about a boy growing up in Astoria, N.Y., during the 1980s. As his friends end up dead, on drugs or in prison, he comes to believe he has been saved from their fate by various so-called saints.

Dito Montiel was born on July 26, 1965 in New York City, New York, USA as Orlando Anthony Montiel Jr. He is a director and writer, known for A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006), Fighting (2009) and The Son of No One (2011).

Chazz has worked with some to the greatest filmmakers, writers and actors of all time: Woody Allen, Robert DeNiro, William Friedkin, just to name a few. 

The screening of Guide to Recognizing Your Saints will be at the Peconic Landing Cultural Arts Center in Greenport NY on Saturday, July 15th. The screening is for MFI actors and directors as well as the residents of Peconic Landing, and the North Fork Long Island community.

The screening will be followed by a lively Q & A with Mr. Palminteri.  Writer-Director Dito Montiel will also be joining Chazz in the Q&A.
